 Thomas Hehir wrote a straight to the point essay describing what ableism looks like today in schools. He goes into depth with how we can (and should) fight it as well. He uses real world experiences and explains what it is like to be those in this extremely flawed system. Hehir goes into depth with what he thinks we should do to combat against this form of discrimination and bias against these people who already feel as if they are behind others. All in all, I really liked this reading, and I feel as if it was extremely eye opening to be able to hear it from another persons viewpoint.
