Classroom Observation

 A child in my classroom who one might describe as a "trouble maker" would have to be "Jim". He has a tough time sitting still and staying on task, because of this "Jim" has to be seated in the classroom on his own island; on a rolling chair. When "Jim" is in small groups with his peers he makes sure to get all of his peers off of task. The interactions between him and the teacher are extremely frustrating, due to "Jim" not listening to the teacher at all. The student speaks fluent English but decides to not listen just because he can. Daily, "Jim" comes to school in nice clean clothes, and a fresh pair of Jordans with a fresh haircut. The interactions between me and "Jim" have been relatively easy and not frustrating at all. I think once he knows how to work around the adult in the room is when he thinks he has cracked the code and can do whatever he wants; knowing that the teacher cannot be with one person.
